- Along with your submission, please provide a synopsis and an introductory paragraph, describing any previous experience and why you are submitting to this anthology
- Provide your legal name, preferred pseudonyms (pen-name) with your submission, the title and the word count of your submission
- Attach your submission as an individual document. You may include any introductions and/or cover letters as a part of this document.
- Original stories will take precedence and the story must be able to stand on its own. Please, no serial submissions or submissions that are obviously a part of a bigger story.
- For this anthology we require submissions that have not been published elsewhere, online or otherwise.
- This is a clean anthology. Please make sure your story reflects this.
Imagine a world where technology is vastly different from our own, where any number of possibilities exist. Where technology has advanced quickly, but perhaps not in the way that many people might think.
What if Edison hadn't invented the light bulb? Suppose one brilliant mind has found a way to harness the power of nature as a means of sustainable transport and architecture? Let your imagination soar with the countless possibilities and get creative!
This anthology is meant for any and every type of punk genres you can think about, to think about all of the technological and biological advancements that could change our entire way of living. Here a link to get you all started: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyberpunk_derivatives Your editors strongly recommend familiarizing yourself with the era and becoming familiar with things such as social norms and customs. Before you can alter something, you must first know how it works.
As this is a furry publication, please keep in mind that your story should revolve around anthropomorphic characters of some sort. Your protagonist need not be anthropomorphic, but having a story with a lack of focus on a “furry” universe is likely to have a negative effect on the reviewing of your submission.
Though your submission may include adult situations, this is a clean anthology. Please refrain from writing explicit sex scenes into your story. Eluding to erotic scenes is acceptable.
Please keep your submissions no less than 5,000 words, and no more than 10,000 (give or take 500 words). Exemplary submissions beyond these guidelines may be considered. Your publication, should it be accepted into the final product, will be paid out at ½ a cent per word.
We would like original and previously unpublished stories for this anthology. Before you've submitted your work, double and triple-check for formatting issues, spelling, and whatever grammar errors you can find. Poor editing will reflect poorly on your submission and will count against its likelihood of being accepted into the anthology. However, we will not dismiss a story based on a few spelling mistakes.
Submit your entry with the title of your story, your furry pseudonym and legal name, and word count. Cover letters are appreciated, but not required.
If you have any questions or concerns, or would like feedback on your submission (please keep in mind that we may not have time to review all submissions prior to submission date, all of our editors have full-time jobs), please send them to punkedanthology@gmail.com. Do not hesitate to contact us if you are unsure what qualifies as “punk,” or if you'd like a nudge in the right direction.

ROAR, Volume 5
Theme: "Secrets"
Submission Status: Closed
Submission Deadline: August 15, 2012
Editor: Buck C. Turner
Rate of pay: 1/2 cent per word
Welcome. The time has come again to open the submission process for ROAR volume five. In the upcoming volume, we are soliciting stories themed around secrets. Keeping—or not keeping—secrets inevitably alters your relationship with those around you, in both subtle and dramatic ways. While secrets are a mainstay of fiction, present in some fashion in nearly all literature, for the purposes of this anthology, I encourage you to submit works in which you explore what effects secrecy can have on characters, their emotions and the course of their lives. This topic is deliberately very open, to encourage you as writers to take a creative and novel approach to exploring how secrets impact anthropomorphic lives.
Please bear in mind that ROAR is a general audience publication featuring anthropomorphic characters. Desired story length is 5,000 to 10,000 words, though submissions outside those lengths will be considered. ROAR is a paying publication, with a current rate of 1/2 cent per word, rate subject to change. The submission deadline is August 15, 2012. Submissions, as well as all questions should be addressed to BuckCTurner@baddogbooks.com.

TBD Horror Anthology
Theme: "Abandoned Places"
Submissions Status: Closed
Submission Deadline: September 1st, 2012
Editor: Voice
Rate of pay: 1/2 cent per word
Want to write Furry Horror?
Now’s your chance!
This is a general call to furry writers for a horror anthology to be published by FurPlanet.
The theme is Abandoned Places.
You know the type of place. Your footsteps echo, you feel all alone. Why is everyone gone? Are there survivors? What happened?
If you want inspiration look at places like Gunkanjima or Takakonuma Greenland Park, as well as other famous sites. (ex: http://www.thecoolist.com/abandoned.....-modern-ruins/)
History is riddled with mysteries where places became ghost towns/parks/whatever for various reasons. Monsters? Viruses? Hauntings? Mutants? I don’t know, that’s for you to decide, so go on, tell me a scary story!
As there can only be so many abandoned campsites, ghost towns, cities, be unique about it. Too many stories about one type will give you less of a chance to be in the anthology. If you want to know if someone has written something already, feel free to ask me. That said, I probably won’t know until people start submitting, and by then it might be too late.
You also don’t have to limit it to present day. It can be sci-fi, steampunk, cyberpunk, fantasy, you name it. But most of all it has to be HORROR, and it has to be FURRY.
Now on that note, let me express that I am looking for horror, not torture porn. I don’t mind gore, but if the entire reason for gore is just for gross out factor, or to make the reader uncomfortable, then that will be a strike against your story. (I can give you examples if you need them as to what I don’t want) The same with sex. If there’s sex, have it off screen. This is not an XXX anthology.
Also, you are not limited to places which exist in real life, you can make up your own abandoned places. Or tackle a real one, the choice is yours.
Stories should max out at 10,000 words. If you want to do longer I don’t mind, but it should rock my world. There is no minimum, though the longer the story the better to build atmosphere and character development. Payment will be ½ a cent per word and a contributor’s copy that will be delivered a month or two after the anthology sees print.
The deadline for submissions will be September 1st, 2012. Publication should be approximately a year after, give or take how much work needs to be done on the stories. Please, edit your stories to the best of your ability before submitting them to me.
Stories should be submitted as an attachment in Rich Text format if possible with as little messing with it as possible to abandonedplaces@hotmail.ca, the Subject being TITLE, YOUR NAME, WORD COUNT.
Any further questions please contact me at abandonedplaces[at]hotmail.ca (note, .ca, NOT .com) Please give a day or two for me to respond.
Any and all updates can be found at http://www.furaffinity.net/user/abandonedplaces/
