Enjoyed it.

Three and a half stars, really. It's got a great idea, but the execution falls flat.
----My main gripe is with the characters. They sometimes act inexplicably, and I felt little emotional connection to any of them except Godric. I really wanted to like Ned and the Russian hare, but kept hitting a glass wall due to the very distant narrative voice.
----The prose is rather flat and not as tight as it could be, but never confusing.
----Pacing through the first third was a bit slow. Things pick up in the second half, but then grind to a halt in the final chapters as a whole new cast of characters are introduced. I understand they relate to other works by the author, and may tie up loose ends from those books, but it kills the pacing and pathos of /this/ book dead, leaving a less than satisfying ending.
----I like the overall story. It's ambitious and imaginative, and the plot is interesting enough to make up for the other deficiencies. The use of mystical and psychedelic themes, and how they were blended with the time-slips and other elements was particularly enjoyable.
----General impression is positive, but I really wish they'd taken the time for another round of editing. It's good, but could have been great.

Fun furry timeslip alt-history sci-fi
3/6/2015
An ambitious project, with furry characters, an alternate 1939 in which the nations of the world are racing to a Moon landing instead of heading for war, and a flamboyant fox hero troubled by half-remembered previous lives. It's only when Ned Arrowsmith and his companions are transported into the far future that he begins to untangle the past...
